Like how the early bird catches the worms, the early vultures shoppers got ready, set and went to catch the best purchases this Wednesday 27 June 2012 morning for the first day of the summer sales in Paris.
With discounts from 30% to 70%, many couldn’t resist the temptation…
Making their way to main shopping avenues and streets such as Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, l’Avenue Montaigne, Champs-Élysées, Boulevard Haussman and the grands magasins (departmental stores) such as Bon Marché, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps…
After all, one can always reason that the more you buy, the more you’ll save…
(never mind that the more you buy also means the more you’ll spend…
In some cases, some had to bring along special “equipment” to store their purchases…
34 days left until the end of the sales on 31 July 2012 and an exceptional opening of stores this Sunday 1 July 2012…
Are you tempted?
“I can resist everything except temptation”. Oscar Wilde
Sounds like a shopaholics dream come true!
It is… Except that one has to brave the crowds… That’s quite a challenge in itself
I love sales. I love bargains. But of course I am such a good girl I only buy what I really need. Like another pair of shoes to add to my collection of 100 pretties. Virginia
Fellow shoe lover???
Embarrassingly so. Perhaps I’ll do a confession and take photographs.
Nothing to be embarrassed about!
